Kindergarten Matter

Bro. SW: Whether its wise for them to use their building for this or not depends on what they are planning on doing - if they are planning on using a kindergarten to raise money for the church, that wouldn't be right. If they are planning on using a kindergarten to give employment to some of their members who might need it, it might be a work of benevolence. If they are planning on using it to teach the Bible to their students, it could be a work of evangelism. The church is only authorized to raise funds through its members. I could see a church charging money to cover the costs of the kindergarten, but I don't think it would be right to make a profit. usually what happens is that if they charge a fee, they intentionally set it lower than they know it will cost Sis. AW: There is no authority in the Scriptures for the church to be "in business" at anything but seeking and saving the lost. (Matthew 28:18-20). I would not violate the authority of Scriptur

From: Alicia Warner Christ the Refiner & Purifier Malachi 3:3 says: "He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver." This verse puzzled some women in a Bible study and they wondered what this statement meant about the character and nature of God. One of the women offered to find out the process of refining silver and get back to the group at their next Bible Study. That week, the woman called a silversmith and made an appointment to watch him at work. She didn't mention anything about the reason for her interest beyond her curiosity about the process of refining silver. As she watched the silversmith, he held a piece of silver over the fire and let it heat up. He explained that in refining silver, one needed to hold the silver in the middle of the fire where the flames were hottest as to burn away all the impurities.
