Rev 12:10 satan - the accuser of our brethren
By Jimmy Lau
Rev 12:10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
Satan is not just a deceiver, he is also called the “accuser of our brethren” in verse 10. He accused righteous Job of serving God for benefits (Job 1:9-11). In Zechariah 3:1, he accused God’s high priest, Joshua, of sin. Satan will take every opportunity to accuse us before God every sin, mistake and character flaw as a reason that we should belong to him as his rightful prey (1 Peter 5:8). And this he will do day and night.
But the Satan will not succeed. John says: “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death” (v.11).
