Rev. 17 - Be well with our souls
By Jimmy Lau
Rev 17:14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.
Everyone faces temptation. Job was a righteous man, but he still faced trials and temptations. Job was victorious because he had great faith in God. His faith caused him to look at trials and temptations in different light: “Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD. In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly” (Job 1:21, 22).
If place under the same trials as Job, many will be quick to blame God rather than submit to Him. This is because of their lack of faith. Professing faith is easy when life is good to us. But if every good thing were to be taken away from us, will it still be well with our souls?
