Does each apostle have the total nine spiritual gifts cited in 1 Cor 12:7ff?

Ｊ：Does each apostle have the total nine spiritual gifts cited in 1 Cor 12:7ff?

Ｔ：I would say that it is likely that each apostle had all of the total nine spiritual gifts listed in 1Corinthians chapter 12. They all were baptized with the Holy Spirit. Paul was able by the laying on of hands of an apostle to bestow all of the gifts to the Corinthian congregation as a whole (1Corinthians 1:7). This does not mean that each Christian received a gift, but only those that Paul laid hands on. 

1 Co 1:7 So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:

Also it seems that all the apostles could bestow these gifts because Paul speaks of "the signs of an apostle" in 2nd Corinthians 12:12. 

Also in 2nd Corinthians 11:5 ; 12:11 said that he was not a whit behind the very chiefest apostles.

2 Co 11:5 For I suppose I was not a whit behind the very chiefest apostles.

Ｊ：2Co 12:11  I have become foolish; you yourselves compelled me. Actually I should have been commended by you, for in no respect was I inferior to the most eminent apostles, even though I am a nobody.

2Co 12:12  The signs of a true apostle were performed among you with all perseverance, by signs and wonders and miracles.

Who are the most eminent apostles actually?

Ｔ：I don't know who the most eminent apostles were, but I suggest Galatians 2:9.

Ｊ：Can’t see who is the most eminent, they asked Jesus the same question.

None of them is the greatest.

People can change all the time…

Ｔ：All true . I think Paul was referring to those apostles who brethren looked up to as leaders in the church.

Ｊ：Gal 2:9 又知道所賜給我的恩典，那稱為教會柱石的雅各、磯法、約翰⋯⋯

Oh you mean these three were leaders.

It is a therapeutic view of forgiveness. Forgiveness is about me. We see this in the way the word “forgiveness” is used. For example, we will hear people say that you need to forgive yourself. This does not make sense using the word biblically. The scriptures never say to forgive yourself. But what people mean about forgiving yourself is this unilateral internal effort to get your own emotions under control and move yourself to some sort of happy place. This is not a biblical view but you can see why there is confusion when we discuss forgiveness from a biblical basis.  Another example of this misunderstanding of forgiveness is that you will hear people say that they have forgiven God or cannot forgive God.
