Luke 10:18 — “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven”

路加福音 10:18 —「我曾看見撒但從天上墜落，像閃電一樣」

There have been various interpretations of this phrase.
這句話有幾種常見的解釋：

1. The Original Fall of Satan — 撒但最初的墮落

   • Isaiah 14:12 — "How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning!"
     以賽亞書 14:12 —「明亮之星，早晨之子啊，你何竟從天墜落！」

   • Jude 1:6 — "And the angels who did not keep their proper domain... He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness."
     猶大書 1:6 —「不守本位、離開自己住處的天使，主用鎖鏈把他們永遠拘留在黑暗裡，等候大日的審判。」

2. A Prophecy of Satan’s Final Defeat — 撒但最終毀滅的預言

   • Revelation 20:10 — "The devil... was thrown into the lake of fire..."
     啟示錄 20:10 —「那迷惑人的魔鬼被扔在硫磺的火湖裡...」

3. The Present Collapse of Satan’s Power — 撒但權勢正在瓦解

   • In the context (Luke 10:17–20), Jesus saw that the disciples’ victories over demons were signs of Satan’s power breaking — as sudden and visible as lightning.

Jesus redirects their joy toward what is truly eternal and important.
