1️⃣ What Is Faith? 什麼是信心？
When discussing how to be saved from sin, people are often told that they must have faith — that is, they must believe.
當人們談論「如何從罪中得救」時，常被告知必須「有信心」——也就是要相信。
Hebrews 11:6 says, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him.”
希伯來書 11:6 說：「人非有信，就不能得神的喜悅。」
Romans 5:1 says, “Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God.”
羅馬書 5:1：「我們既因信稱義，就藉著我們的主耶穌基督得與神相和。」
John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
約翰福音 3:16：「神愛世人，甚至將祂的獨生子賜給他們，叫一切信祂的，不致滅亡，反得永生。」
Some people think faith means “believing something without proof.”
許多人以為信心就是「沒有證據仍然相信」。
But that’s not biblical faith — that’s blind faith.
但那不是「聖經的信心」，那是「盲目的信」。
Hebrews 11:1 defines faith:
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
希伯來書 11:1 定義信心：「信就是所望之事的實底，是未見之事的確據。」
Two important words here: substance and evidence.
這裡有兩個關鍵詞：「實底」與「確據」。
Faith is assurance based on evidence — conviction grounded in truth.
信心是「有根據的確信」，是基於事實與真理的確據。
Therefore, biblical faith is not a leap in the dark, but a conviction born from examining God’s Word and His works.
因此，聖經的信心不是盲目的跳躍，而是經過查驗神話語與作為後的堅定信念。
2️⃣ Faith Is an Action Word 信心是一個行動的字
Faith is more than mental agreement — it is active obedience.
信心不只是思想上的同意，而是帶出行動的順服。
📖 Example 1: Mark 2:5
When Jesus saw the four men lowering their paralyzed friend through the roof,
祂看見那四個人為癱子拆屋頂，把他從上面放下來，
the Bible says, “When Jesus saw their faith…”
聖經說：「耶穌見他們的信心。」
What did He see? Their action.
祂看見的是他們的「行動」。
Therefore, faith is not invisible—it is demonstrated by action.
因此，信心不是抽象的，它必然透過行動顯明出來。
📖 Example 2: John 3:16 and Hebrews 5:9
John 3:16 says salvation comes to those who believe.
約翰福音 3:16 說，永生賜給「信」的人。
Hebrews 5:9 says Christ “is the author of eternal salvation to all those who obey Him.”
希伯來書 5:9 則說，耶穌「成了凡順從祂之人的永遠救主」。
Faith and obedience are not opposites—they are two sides of the same coin.
信與順服不是對立的，而是同一枚硬幣的兩面。
True faith includes obedience.
真正的信心必然包含順服。
📖 Example 3: Hebrews 3:18–19
The Israelites could not enter God’s rest because of unbelief,
以色列人不能進入安息，是因「不信」。
and verse 18 says it was because of disobedience.
第18節又說是因為「不順從」。
Disobedience = unbelief. Obedience = faith.
「不順從」就是「不信」；「順從」就是「信」。
📖 Example 4: Romans 1:8 & 16:19
Paul says, “Your faith is spoken of throughout the world,”
保羅說：「你們的信心傳遍天下。」
and later, “Your obedience has become known to all.”
又說：「你們的順服也傳於眾人。」
Faith and obedience are used interchangeably — faith that acts.
「信」與「順服」在此互通，表示有行動的信心。
📖 Example 5: John 12:42–43
Many rulers believed in Jesus but would not confess Him.
許多官長雖然信祂，卻因怕被趕出會堂不敢承認。
They had belief but no obedience — therefore, not saving faith.
他們有「信」卻無「行」，所以那不是能救的信心。
3️⃣ Grace and Faith: God’s Part and Man’s Part 恩典與信心：神的部分與人的部分
Ephesians 2:8 — “For by grace you have been saved through faith.”
以弗所書 2:8：「你們得救是本乎恩，也因著信。」
Grace is everything God has done to save man.
恩典包含神為救人所做的一切。
Faith is everything man does in response to God’s offer.
信心則是人對神恩典的回應。
We are saved by grace through faith—God’s provision, our obedient trust.
我們得救是「因著恩典，藉著信心」——神的供應，人以順服回應。
It’s not boasting or earning salvation; it’s coming to God on His terms.
這不是誇口或靠功德得救，而是「按神的方式」來就近祂。
4️⃣ Examples of Grace + Faith 合一的例證
🛶 Noah — Genesis 6, Hebrews 11:7
“Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.” (Gen. 6:8)
「挪亞在耶和華眼前蒙恩。」（創 6:8）
But Noah still had to build the ark — that’s faith.
但挪亞仍須造方舟——那是「信心的行動」。
He obeyed God’s command exactly, and by faith was saved by grace.
他完全遵行神的命令，因信而蒙恩得救。
🌊 Israelites — Exodus 14, Hebrews 11:29
God’s grace opened the Red Sea;
神的恩典使紅海分開；
the people’s faith led them to walk through it.
百姓的信心使他們走過去。
They were saved by grace through faith.
他們得救是「因恩典藉信心」。
🐍 The Bronze Serpent — Numbers 21
God told Moses to lift up a bronze serpent.
神吩咐摩西立銅蛇在竿上。
Whoever looked at it in faith would live.
凡信而仰望的，就得醫治。
Refusing to look was unbelief; looking was faith.
拒絕仰望是「不信」；仰望是「信」。
Just like baptism today — not man’s work, but obedience to God’s command.
就像今日的洗禮——不是人的功勞，而是對神命令的順服。
5️⃣ The Conclusion 結語
The Bible teaches that we are saved by faith,
聖經教導我們得救是「因信」；
but never by faith only.
但從未說「僅僅因信」。
James 2:24 — “A man is justified by works and not by faith only.”
雅各書 2:24：「人稱義是因著行為，不是單因著信。」
Faith without obedience is dead.
信心若沒有行為就是死的。
Faith accepts God’s grace through obedience.
真正的信心，以順服領受恩典。
To be saved:
得救之路如下：
Hear the Gospel. 聽聞福音
Believe it. 相信
Repent of your sins. 悔改罪過
Confess your faith in Christ. 承認基督為主
Be baptized for the remission of sins. 受洗歸入祂的名，得赦免
All of these are expressions of one thing — faith in action.
這一切都是同一件事的延伸——信心的行動。
📜 Summary / 總結
“For by grace are you saved through faith.” (Ephesians 2:8)
「你們得救是本乎恩，也因著信。」（以弗所書 2:8）
God provides grace.
人得神的恩典。
We respond with obedient faith.
人以順服的信心回應。
That is the harmony of salvation — grace and faith, united in obedience.
這就是救恩的奧秘——恩典與信心，在順服中合一。
