The 144,000 in Revelation is not a literal number but a symbolic one. It represents all of God’s faithful people—from Old Testament believers who trusted the Lord to New Testament Christians saved in Christ. “Firstfruits” means they belong to God and are set apart, symbolizing the full group of the saved. It does not mean only 144,000 people can be saved.
