Wrong Attitudes Toward Evangelism

Thinking that not every Christian needs to preach the gospel
The Great Commission was given to all disciples (Matthew 28:19–20)
Christians are expected to bear fruit and share the gospel (Romans 1:13–15)
If earlier believers had not shared the gospel, we would never have heard it

Thinking evangelism is not my gift
Evangelism is sharing truth through life and words, not a special skill
God gives different gifts, yet all believers are called to serve (Romans 12:6–8)
Spiritual gifts are given to build up the body of Christ (Ephesians 4:7–12)

Thinking one lacks enough Bible knowledge
Some hesitate to evangelize because they feel unfamiliar with Scripture
One of the best ways to learn Scripture is by teaching others
Sharing faith encourages deeper study of God’s Word

Fear of rejection
The Parable of the Sower shows that not everyone will accept the gospel (Matthew 13)
Christians should not seek human approval (Galatians 1:10)
People ultimately reject God, not us (1 Samuel 8:7)

Remember that the Lord is with us (Matthew 28:20)

Thinking one is too busy
Seek first the kingdom of God (Matthew 6:33)
Jesus calls His followers to deny themselves and follow Him (Matthew 16:24)
Spiritual priorities should not be replaced by a busy life
────────────────────────
“I tried before, but it failed”
Do not give up because results are not immediate
Remain steadfast and continue the Lord’s work (1 Corinthians 15:58)

The difficulty in evangelism is often not a lack of ability but the result of wrong ideas and attitudes such as thinking evangelism is not every Christian’s responsibility believing one does not have the gift or ability feeling one lacks enough Bible knowledge being satisfied with worship alone thinking one is too busy or giving up after unsuccessful attempts. When Christians recognize and correct these attitudes they can share the gospel more faithfully.
Actually, my main obstacle is a lack of confidence. I feel that I may not be able to set a good example, and I worry that people might laugh at me, so I hope to have someone more mature and steady accompany me when sharing the gospel.)
